Create a directory on your web server and name it lp ( that is lowercase L lowercase P ) The directory MUST be named lp or the script will not function properly. 2. Upload the following files to the lp directory in ASCII mode: config.inc.php (don't forget to change permissions to 666) ip.php index.html lp.js lpUnder.js lpUp.js lpxUp.js zendtest.php 3. Upload the following files to the lp directory in BINARY mode: admin.php autopop.php change.php exitpop.php frames.php index.php logout.php lp.gif lpgen.php popunder.php popup.php process.php redirect.php stdgen.php subform.php update.php 4. CHMOD ( change permissions ) to 666 the config.inc.php file. If you do not do so you will not be able to run the scripts. 5. Go to http://www.yourdomain.com/lp/index.php 6. The first time you log to Lightning Pop-Up use the following information: Username : admin Password : admin 7. After logging in for the first time change the username and password immediately to ensure that your Lightning Pop-Up admin area remains secure. Failure to change the username and password will result in unauthorized use of your script. If you encounter an error it is likely because you did not CHMOD the config.inc.php file to 666. 8. That's it... you're done! INSTALL NOTES - TROUBLESHOOTING If you try to run index.php for the first time and see a lot of code that looks garbled or like a bunch of garbage that means that you do not have the Zend Optimizer installed on your web server. This script requires the Zend Optimizer in order to run. You can contact your host and ask them to install the Zend Optimizer. Most decent hosting companies will have no problem installing it for you. The Zend Optimizer is free and takes only about 10 minutes to install by a good system administrator.
